Giving Hope to a Child is a humanitarian "non profit" and a neutral foundation that conducts aid work in Africa primarily through support for teaching. All work is based on volunteering. Our aim is to enable children to be part of building good, robust societies over time through schooling, play and building the community around them so that children and adults can develop together. We base all our work on the UN's sustainability goals.
OUR WORK
We are currently working in Liberia with 4 schools where we are developing them to become the meeting point for everyone in the villages. Learning is central to all our measures, which are currently school fees, uniforms, sports, learning materials and maintenance. All four schools have had libraries fully equipped in accordance with the country's Ministry of Education's requirements. Solar cells have been installed at two schools and we have built a new roof at a school where the roof was taken off by a storm.
